About the Academy
The NC EMS Leadership Academy was created out of a collaboration of NC EMS officers, managers, and leaders to produce incredible results from the NC EMS Officer I and II programs.
After providing these courses for several years and experiencing the impact, it became evident that the problems encountered throughout North Carolina were not unique to an agency, county or region. Numerous other agencies were experiencing similar problems and were hungry for a solution.
With combined expertise and talent from leaders across North Carolina, EMS Wizard formed the NC EMS Leadership Academy with the intent to address the difficulties that so many EMS agencies and systems face daily.
Difficulties such as a dwindling workforce, lack of engagement that leads to staff who are overburdened, results in a lack of succession planning within the organization. Additionally, due to a lack of meaningful effective management and leadership training for EMS personnel in NC, there is a lack of qualified EMS officers and managers suitable to operated within a thriving organization.

Mission
The NC EMS Leadership Academy, in active partnership with the NC Association of EMS Administrators, exists to serve the unique needs of leadership and management relating to EMS systems in North Carolina. We strive to promote relevant and engaging education that helps EMS officers to manage the complexities of everyday operations by establishing high expectations, promoting self-discipline, motivation, management strategies and traits of leadership so that all EMS officers experience success.
